Advertorial Spotlight: Greenlyte and eeden in the Scale-up.NRW Series

Our long standing partnership with Handelsblatt, WirtschaftsWoche and the Handelsblatt Research Institute allows us to showcase every Scale-up.NRW batch with dedicated advertorials. Each advertorial highlights two teams and gives them visibility among a highly relevant audience. The combined reach of the print and ePaper editions brings our founders in front of more than two hundred thousand decision makers. Here we share insights into the advertorials that present Greenlyte Carbon Technologies and eeden.

Greenlyte Carbon Technologies GmbH (Aachen)

A resilient and prosperous society requires green raw material sources that serve as key building blocks for the decarbonization of aviation, chemicals, and industry. Greenlyte Carbon Technologies delivers exactly that: using innovative direct air capture technology, CO2 is extracted directly from the air and green hydrogen is produced in the same step. This creates the basis for synthetic fuels and materials – renewable, scalable, and independent of fossil sources. Greenlyte replaces fossil molecules with green alternatives – for an industry with a future.

“Our technology rethinks energy: we combine CO2 reduction and hydrogen production in a single step—and use it to produce renewable fuels for industries without alternatives. We do more than carbon removal—we are building an economy without fossil fuels and, with it, the European economy of the future.” Florian Hildebrand, Co-Founder & CEO

For Greenlyte, North Rhine-Westphalia, with its strong engineering and industrial expertise in mechanical engineering, chemistry, and plant construction, is the location for climate tech innovations. At the same time, an ambitious ecosystem of impressive climate tech innovations is growing here, as demonstrated by success stories such as cylib from Aachen. With Scale-up.NRW, Greenlyte is now sharpening its structures for the next phase of growth: the management team is being strengthened, decision-making processes clearly defined, and operational processes made scalable.

eeden GmbH (Münster)

The textile industry is facing a massive challenge: valuable raw materials in the waste textile sector are currently being destroyed largely unused – representing economic losses running into the billions. eeden is developing an innovative chemical recycling process that transforms waste textiles into high-quality resources for new fibers without any loss of quality. Cotton and polyester blends are efficiently separated to recover cellulose and PET monomers. eeden then sells these circular raw materials to the textile and chemical industries, thus laying the foundation for a truly circular economy in the textile sector.

"Our technology has real game-changing potential. We are working to recycle old textiles into high-quality products and to put the textile industry on the path to an economically viable, globally scalable circular economy." Steffen Gerlach, Co-Founder & CEO

NRW offers ideal conditions for eeden: a high density of innovative start ups, strong peer-to-peer exchange, and excellent networks in the chemical industry. With Scale-up. NRW, eeden is now working specifically on internationalization, new partnerships, and the development of scalable structures to strategically drive growth.
