PREMATCH is the first digital platform to revolutionize amateur soccer in Europe. The app offers players and teams a pro-like experience—with detailed game and league data, individual statistics, personal market values, and news feeds. This gives amateur athletes a digital identity and visibility that was previously only available in professional sports. The basic version of the app is free to use – PREMATCH generates revenue through premium subscriptions with additional features and brand partnerships.
Following its successful market entry in England last year – the home of soccer – PREMATCH has now scored another coup: World Cup winner and five-time Champions League winner Toni Kroos is joining as an investor. For him, one thing is clear: amateur soccer is played with just as much heart and passion as professional soccer – PREMATCH helps to make this commitment visible and professionalize it.
"Our platform offers a variety of features, including personalized news from amateur soccer, detailed game statistics, and a unique profile page for each player – comparable to platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Strava. We also integrate gamification elements that reward playing success and engagement." Founding Trio: Lukas Röhle (CEO), Fiete Grünter (CTO) & Niklas Brackmann (CPO)
With joining the Scale-up.NRW program, PREMATCH intends to continue driving forward its expansion. The aim is to use the experience of this first-class network to tap into new markets, further develop the platform, and scale the business model internationally.
The company cylib represents a new era in battery recycling. Based on many years of research at RWTH Aachen University, cylib has developed an innovative end-to-end process that recovers valuable raw materials such as lithium, graphite, nickel, cobalt, and manganese in a particularly resource-efficient manner—from battery packs from electric vehicles, black mass, or production waste.
Cylib is currently attracting attention with a significant partnership: Together with top 100 automotive supplier Webasto, the company is taking the next step toward industrial recycling. In the future, cylib will take over the used batteries and production waste from Webasto's European locations—an important milestone in scaling the business model.
“Our recycling technology recovers all valuable materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries, including lithium and graphite. The partnership with Webasto is an important step in scaling battery recycling. Together, we are securing the raw materials of tomorrow and further advancing the circular economy in Europe.” - Dr. Gideon Schwich, Co-Founder & CEO
At Scale-up.NRW, cylib is now taking the next big step. The goal is to further scale the technology, tap into new international markets, and expand its own impact in the circular economy. The team is particularly looking forward to exchanging ideas with experienced founders, investors, and industry experts.
